EVERGON AT GALERIE VERTICALE

Galerie Verticale is presenting the lastest production of Evergon, mostly known for his photographic work but who is also exploring video. The Jeux de la Passion/Passion Plays exhibition features a dozen photographs as well as sixteen vidéos which, as in the Manscape series, presented at Galerie Trois-Points in 1999, Evergon is questionning gay meeting spaces. Curator Karl-Gilbert Murray chose to present a new bodies of photographs in which the artist recreates scenes found on the Internet that are quoting famous postures in art history.
